IT

while watching the opening scene of "IT" I realized that it was a rainy day and that the background seemed kind of dark and the overall mood was kind of light because of the music but you would feel as if something bad was going to happen.

INTRUDERS

this film opening made it seem like what was happening was mysterious but even though the opening scene seemed like a mystery that hasn't been solved it seemed like you might have ended up in a worse position trying to solve the case.

Dawn Of Dead

this gives a whole creepy intense kind of vibe off the bat and then we found out the daughter was badly injured as if she was a creepy little girl about to kill her parents the opening scene was perfect for a horror opening kind of slowing but definitely getting to the point at a good past

Lights out

I personally loved the opening for lights out I could tell instantly that knew that it was a horror there was eerie music almost no lights but lights that turn off to help what seemed like a monster move which helped the audience realize why it was called lights out the tense pressure coming from this opening scene made it seem as if the character was going to die and maybe even us. the use of medium and extreme shots to show the character's expressions and setting also the beast was brilliant 

Final Destination 4

started off like a drama or a regular movie until a photo with all the race car drivers floated into the main characters hands and the film start putting the hints together time got slower the sound got more eerie and more serious the everything in the race started going wrong a tire popped all the cars started exploding and crashing causing the crowd to rush and most of the crowd to die then we realized it was a flash forward. the execution of this flash forward was amazing and well done especially how it took an exciting game to a massacre.
