TYPES OF MOVIE GENRE

Sci-Fi Film Genre:

A genre that incorporates hypothetical and science based themes into the plot of the films.

This genre is associated with exploring or elaborating with the unknown using space, aliens, and the combination between machines and humans.

Sci-Fi genres typically deal with imaginary and futuristic things such as time travel and dragons. throughout the years these type of movies have explore the impossible and imagination. also fun fact the first Sci-Fi movie was French and called LE VOYAGE DANS LA LUNE meaning the journey to the moon.

sci-fi movies political and social issues using extraterrestrial beings and space exploration also using a futuristic earth 

Action:

action films is a genre that usually includes high energy, big budgets, physical stunts, and chases, possibly with rescues, battles, fights, and destructive crisis.

non-stop motion, spectacular rhythm and pacing, and adventurous, often two dimensional `good-guy` heroes battling the `bad-guys` all designed for pure audience escapism.

Comedy:

light hearted plots designed to amuse, provoke, or make the audience laugh with things like gags, puns, jokes, and etc.

they also exaggerate the situation, the language, action, relationships, and characters.

Drama:

serious plot driven presentations, portraying the realistic characters, setting, life situations, and stories involving intense character development and interaction.

usually they are not focused on special effects, comedy, or action, dramatic films are probably the largest film genre, with many subsets.

Horror

horror films are made to frighten and make the common nightmares of people come true invoking are worst fears.

even when being terrified or shocked the movie captivates us and entertains us even getting the blood pumping.

thrillers

a lot of horror is also in thriller since it's horror combined with mystery 

thrillers are shot in regular ordinary cites or suburbs but are sometimes held in exotic places like islands or a foreign city

and since thrillers kinda it home they are usually shot throughout the day

using the knowledge i got of sci-fi movies i was able to make a power point with a group of people about sci-fi

before taking notes i never knew why horror movies were sometimes so interesting even though they could be scary or how sci-fi movies actually had problems they wanted to explain or go in on. i also never wanted to know anything about this but i ended up know the truth about all these types of genres when it comes to movies.
